Chamber Chatter September 2007

Time to get back into the swing of things and that means cranking out the Chamber Chatter newsletter again!!! (Actually I like doing this because I like keeping you, our members, in the loop and I hope you will read this and pass it on to your co-workers or employees!)

What a terrific Wheat Festival we had thanks to many of you... our great members, sponsors and volunteers!! As most of you know, it is the Chamber's biggest fund raiser and this year it was a tremendous success. Thanks to Security State Bank for being our premier sponsor this year. It was a great partnership.

We are gearing up for the Fall Festival and all the other Holiday events that follow. Please take some time to look over the Fall Fest sponsorship brochure that is enclosed and see if there is something you'd like to be a part of. We are looking for Chili/Salsa Cook-off teams, non-profit organizations to do food fund raisers, arts and crafts vendors and much more.

We have put all the events that we know about to the left in the Chamber/Community calendar. Please look it over and make sure to mark down all the important dates. If you have anything that you would like to add to the list, please let us know at (620) 326-7466.

Speaking of upcoming things, make sure you try and make it out to Futures Business After Hours on September 13th and our Third Thursday lunch on September 20th.

We will be heading to the State Fair on Saturday, September 15th to work the State Tourism booth. We will be promoting Wellington as well as the Aviation Festival and the Fall Festival. If you have anything that you would like us to hand out, please drop it by the Chamber!

You may notice, we have scheduled the Christmas parade for Tuesday, November 27th. KZSN radio out of Wichita will be in Wellington that day from 6am to 8pm doing live broadcasts for a toy drive that will benefit Wellington and Sumner County. The details are still being worked out but stay tuned for how you can be involved!!! Until next time...

LIVE WELL ...LIVE WELLINGTON!
